Date changed for Alumni & Friends Golf Tournament presented by St. Eugene, Early Bird rates available only until June 30

Cranbrook, B.C. – The Kootenay ICE Hockey Club announced Monday that the Early Bird rates for the ICE Alumni & Friends Golf Tournament Benefiting the ICE Education Fund presented by St. Eugene Golf Resort and Casino are available until June 30.

The date for the tournament has been moved to Thursday, August 23 with an 11 a.m. shotgun start. The original date for the tournament was Saturday, June 16.

The cost to register a foursome is $1,000, which includes dinner, lunch on the course, cart, a tee gift and a fun-filled day with the ICE, Alumni and friends. Announcements will be made closer to the event with the names of celebrity attendees. The golf tournament will signify the start of the hockey season and help kick-off the 2018-2019 season. ICE training camp begins the following day.

Confirmed corporate partners for the 2018-2019 season will receive a 15% discount off the Early Bird rates.

100% of the net proceeds will go towards the ICE Education Fund, which supports ICE player’s post-secondary education.

About the ICE Education Fund

The Kootenay ICE Education Fund proudly supports the post-secondary education of current and former ICE players. Since 2008, the ICE Education Fund has supported 72 players that have attended post-secondary schools.

The ICE Education Fund is 100% funded by the Kootenay ICE Hockey Club and the generous donations of fans, corporate sponsors and businesses.

2018-19 Kootenay ICE season seats are available. Early Bird pricing – which includes massive savings and exclusive benefits – lasts until May 18. ICE season seats can be purchased at the ICE Gear Store, by calling 250-417-0322 or online at kootenayICE.net.

The Kootenay ICE Hockey Club has set a goal of 2,500 season seat purchases for the 2018-19 season. As of Tuesday, May 1, 1,287 season seats have been purchased for next season, which is 51% of the target.
