GAME DAY | ICE conclude pre-season schedule against Hitmen

Calgary, AB – The Kootenay ICE conclude its 2018 pre-season schedule against the Calgary Hitmen at Scotiabank Saddledome on Saturday night.

Puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m. MT.

Saturday’s game will be the second of three consecutive meetings between the ICE and the Hitmen. The first took place on Friday night in Invermere, where the Hitmen skated away with a 5-4 OT victory. ICE forwards Peyton Krebs (1G, 1A), Kaeden Taphorn (1G, 1A) and Jakin Smallwood (0G, 2A) each picked up two points in the loss. Through six pre-season games, forwards Connor McClennon (3G, 3A) and Peyton Krebs (2G, 4A) lead the ICE with six points. They are followed by defenceman Dallas Hines, who has five points (3G, 2A).

Following Saturday’s game, the ICE have six days off before hosting the Calgary Hitmen in its Home Opener presented by Silverado Industries on September 22. Puck drop is scheduled to take place at 7 p.m. MT at Western Financial Place.
