GAME DAY | ICE continue three-game Alberta road trip against the Hitmen

Cranbrook, B.C. – The Kootenay ICE (25-38-5-1) continue a three-game Alberta road trip against the Calgary Hitmen (22-36-9-2) on Wednesday.

The ICE are coming off a 4-3 overtime loss to the Edmonton Oil Kings on Sunday, March 11. ICE prospect Blake Allan scored his first WHL goal, while Martin Bodak and Cam Hausinger scored the others. Duncan McGovern made 25 saves in the loss. The ICE outshot the Oil Kings 39-29. They went 0-for-4 on the power play, 0-for-1 on the penalty kill and won 29 of 67 face-offs.

ICE Captain Colton Kroeker didn’t suit up against the Oil Kings on Sunday. If he plays on Wednesday, that will mark is 250th career WHL regular season game.

The ICE have amassed 56 points this season, good for fourth in the Central Division and 10th in the Eastern Conference.

The ICE are 0-7-2-1 in their last 10 games and have a road record of 10-21-2-1.
