Cranbrook, B.C. – The Kootenay ICE Hockey Club announced Tuesday its 2017-18 game-worn dark jerseys will be auctioned off.

The auction begins on Tuesday at the ICE Gear Store and closes when the puck is dropped to start the third period of the game on Saturday, March 17 between the ICE and the Red Deer Rebels.

Minimum bids start at $300. A successful bid of $500 or more will receive a limited edition 100th anniversary Memorial Cup coin (valued at $67.00 including taxes) with the jersey.

Each player will sign his jersey.

Each winning bid must be paid for in full by Wednesday, March 21 at 5 p.m. If the individual fails to do so, the jersey will go to the next highest bidder.

Jerseys will be available for payment and pick up beginning Monday, March 19.

100 percent of the net proceeds go towards the ICE Education Fund, which helps support ICE player’s post-secondary education.

The next home game for the ICE is against the Red Deer Rebels on Saturday, March 17. Puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m. Tickets are available and can be purchased online at ICEcountry.ca, at the ICE Gear Store at Western Financial Place or by calling 250-417-0322.
