ICE announce details for A&W Toque, Mitten and Teddy Bear Toss Night

Cranbrook, B.C. – The Kootenay ICE Hockey Club announced Monday it will be holding the A&W Toque, Mitten and Teddy Bear Toss on Saturday, December 16.

The ICE are encouraging fans to bring new toques, mittens and teddy bears to be tossed onto the playing surface when the ICE score their first goal.

The ICE remind fans to bring only new teddy bears, mittens and toques with tags to the game. To ensure the items remain clean and dry, please wrap them in clear plastic bags before tossing them onto the ice.

The donated items will be distributed to various local organizations.

In addition, carollers from Mount Baker High School will sing at the game and the A&W bear will be dropping the puck for the ceremonial faceoff.

The Kootenay ICE are extremely excited to showcase their fan’s generosity, enthusiasm and passion to help others. Help us make this an event to remember.

Saturday’s game is the last ICE home game until after the winter break. Tickets are on sale now. You can purchase tickets online at ICEcountry.ca, at the ICE Gear Store at Western Financial Place or by calling 250-417-0322.
