ICE, Rotary Club present cheque for $10,000 to Cranbrook Minor Hockey

Cranbrook, B.C. – The Kootenay ICE and the Rotary Club of Cranbrook are pleased to present a cheque to Cranbrook Minor Hockey in the amount of $10,000.

A cheque presentation took place during the first intermission of Monday’s game between the ICE and the Lethbridge Hurricanes. In attendance for that presentation was Sandy Zeznik, Past President of the Rotary Club, Matt Cockell, President and General Manager of the Kootenay ICE and Jay Miesner representing Cranbrook Minor Hockey

The money comes from the 50/50 partnership created by the ICE and the Rotary Club back in September. It’s part of a long-term plan focused on diversified investment in the community. To date, the ICE and the Rotary Club, with the help of their volunteers, are pleased to share that the total 50/50 dollars during the first 27 home games this season has reached the $150,000 mark.

The next home game for the ICE is against the Saskatoon Blades on Wednesday, February 14. Puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m. MST. Tickets are still available and can be purchased online at ICEcountry.ca, at the ICE Gear Store at Western Financial Place, or by calling 250-417-0322.
