ICE alumni Jarret Stoll to attend Home Opener

Cranbrook, B.C. – The Kootenay ICE Hockey Club has announced the details for its Home Opener presented by Jason Wheeldon Personal Real Estate Corp. scheduled for September 22.
The festivities begin with the St. Eugene Resort and Casino Tailgate Party presented by the ICE Fan Club and Director, Alumni Experience Colin Sinclair. The event will include entertainment and will be located at Balment Park behind Western Financial Place. from 4-6 p.m. Net proceeds from the event will go to the ICE Education Fund.
ICE alumni and two-time Stanley Cup champion Jarret Stoll will be a special guest for the game. Stoll played four seasons with the ICE – from 1998-2002 – racking up 122 goals, 159 assists for 281 points in 237 regular games. Stoll added 49 points in 51 playoffs games and also won the WHL championship in 2000 and 2002 and the Memorial Cup in 2002.
Stoll will be part of the ceremonial puck drop before the game.
Other Home Opener details include:
- The first 3,000 fans will receive white towels supplied by Jason Wheeldon Personal Real Estate Corp.
- The new ICE mascot will be revealed
- An exciting new contest will be launched during the first intermission
The ICE begin the 2017-18 season against the Calgary Hitmen at Western Financial Place. Puck drop is at 7 p.m.
