GAME DAY | ICE wrap up three-game homestand against Moose Jaw

Cranbrook, B.C – The Kootenay ICE (3-5-1-0) conclude a three-game homestand when they welcome the red hot Moose Jaw Warriors (7-1-0-0) to Western Financial Place Tuesday evening.

Puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m. Mountain Time.

The ICE are coming off a 5-3 come-from-behind victory over the Everett Silvertips Saturday night. Newly acquired forward Jeff de Wit potted two goals while Colton Veloso, Michael King and Vince Loschiavo added the others.

The win snapped a four-game losing streak for the ICE.

2001-born forward Peyton Krebs continues to lead the way in points for the ICE with 10 (2G, 8A). 1998-born forward Barrett Sheen and 1997-born forward Colton Kroeker are second with seven points.

The Warriors are led by 1997-born forward Brayden Burke who has 14 points (5G, 9A) in eight games. 1998-born forward Noah Gregor is second in team scoring with 12 points (5G, 7A) followed by 1997-born forward Jayden Halbgewachs with 11 (6G, 5A).

The ICE and Warriors have played once this season with Moose Jaw earning a 5-2 victory at Mosaic Place on October 6. Barrett Sheen and Colton Kroeker scored for the ICE while the Warriors had five different goal scorers.

During the 2016-17 campaign the ICE went 0-4 against the Warriors.

The Warriors have won six-straight games against the ICE dating back to the 2015-16 season. The last time the ICE defeated the Warriors was on November 20, 2015, a 2-1 overtime victory.

After Tuesday night the ICE and Warriors will meet up two more times before the end of the season. Both games take place in February.
