Cranbrook, BC – The Kootenay ICE Hockey Club is pleased to announce that Haley Casselman has been named the recipient of the 11th annual Kootenay ICE / Nella Rounsville Scholarship. This award is presented to a graduating Mount Baker Secondary School student who excels both academically, athletically and contributes to the community through volunteering. Haley receives a $2,500 scholarship for her achievement.
Haley, who has a grade point average of 4.0 will be attending the University of Victoria in the Fall. She will be enrolled in the Faculty of Social Science studying Psychology. The Kootenay ICE organization would like to congratulate Haley and wish her all the best in her post-secondary endeavors.
Since the inception of the scholarship in 2004 the Kootenay ICE and the Chynoweth Family have donated $36,000 to graduating students at Mount Baker Secondary School.
