Post Game Report | Muir scores in ICE 3-1 loss to Rockets

Cranbrook, B.C. – Cole Muir scored the lone goal of the game for the Kootenay ICE in a 3-1 loss to the Kelowna Rockets at Western Financial Place on Tuesday.
Muir netted his seventh goal of the season at the 1:31 mark of the second period, assisted by Jakin Smallwood and Jonathan Smart. The Rockets were led by Leif Mattson, who scored two goals in the game. Kyle Topping added two points including the second Rockets goal.
ICE goaltender Jesse Makaj stopped 27-of-30 shots, while Rockets goalie James Porter blocked 29-of-30 for the victory.

The ICE are back in action on Friday, December 14 when it hosts the Kamloops Blazers for the first and only time this season. Puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m. MT. Friday’s back is Teddy Bear, Toque & Mitten Toss presented by A&W. It is also the final home game before the Christmas break.
