Three ICE players heading to NHL camps

Cranbrook, B.C. – Three ICE players are heading to NHL camps: defenseman Martin Bodak, forward Brett Davis and goaltender Duncan McGovern.

Davis, a sixth round draft pick of the Dallas Stars in 2017, will be heading to Traverse City for a prospect tournament. Davis will be one of 24 players making the trip for the Stars.
Other NHL teams taking part in the tournament include the New York Rangers, Carolina Hurricanes, Columbus Blue Jackets, Minnesota Wild, Detroit Red Wings and Chicago Blackhawks.
The Stars’ first game is against the Rangers on Friday, September 7.
MARTIN BODAK
After attending its development camp in the off-season, Bodak has received the invite to the Vegas Golden Knights Rookie Camp. Bodak will be one of 26 players at the camp.
Knights’ Rookie Camp begins on Thursday, September 6. Two days later, the Knights host the 2018 Vegas Rookie Faceoff, which includes a number of games and other NHL teams like the Anaheim Ducks, Arizona Coyotes, Los Angeles Kings, San Jose Sharks and Colorado Avalanche.
DUNCAN MCGOVERN
The Winnipeg Jets have invited Duncan McGovern to its Rookie Camp.
McGovern will be one of two goaltenders, and one of 21 players overall, suiting up for the Jets at the Penticton Young Stars tournament.
The first game for the Jets is scheduled to take place against the Vancouver Canucks on Friday, September 7.
All three players will miss the next three pre-season games. The ICE face the Tri-City Americans on Thursday at 7:05 p.m. PT at Toyota Center in Kennewick, WA. The ICE follow that game with a match-up against Seattle and Portland on Friday and Saturday respectively.
