ICE acquire Colton Veloso from Portland

Cranbrook, B.C. – The Kootenay ICE Hockey Club has acquired 1997-born forward Colton Veloso from the Portland Winterhawks.

In exchange, the Winterhawks get a conditional fourth round draft pick in 2018.

Veloso, a native of Winnipeg, Manitoba, has two goals and five points in five pre-season games in 2017.

Last season, Veloso recorded 18 goals and 32 points in 71 regular season games for the Winterhawks. He added two goals and six points in 11 playoff games.

“Colton will add experience and skill to our forward group,” said Matt Cockell, President and General Manager. “He contributed on a very good team last year and we look forward to his arrival.”
