ICE taking name, jersey number suggestions for mascot ‘Shivers’

Cranbrook, B.C. – The Kootenay ICE Hockey Club announced Tuesday it is taking name and jersey number suggestions for its mascot as Shivers’ makeover continues.

The club is asking fans to post their ideas with the hashtag ‘SaveShivers’ on Twitter and Facebook. All ideas regarding names and jersey numbers will be considered until July 27th.

As recently stated on social media, Shivers, the legendary mascot of the ICE, is getting a makeover after sporting the same look for over a decade. Shivers has reportedly been skipping out on workouts and appears to be lacking dedication in his preparation for the upcoming hockey season. That is why the ICE are asking for the public’s participation and input to ensure Shivers gets back on track and remains the coolest mascot in the WHL.

Don’t miss out on your chance to impact Shivers’ identity and future.

Season seats for the 2017-18 ICE season can be purchased by calling 250-417-0322, stopping by the Kootenay ICE office at Western Financial Place or ordering online at ICEcountry.ca.
